Important Notes

BMI is a screening tool, not a diagnostic tool. It doesn’t take into account factors like muscle mass, bone density, or body composition. Athletes or very muscular individuals may have a high BMI but not excess body fat.

For women specifically, BMI does not account for natural differences in body composition. Women naturally have a higher percentage of essential body fat than men, and fat distribution patterns can impact health risks.

Disclaimer: This calculator provides an estimate based on statistical data. BMI has limitations and doesn’t directly measure body fat. Always consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice.
